DID YOU KNOW? There are 823,562 widowed persons in Ghana out of a population of about 24,000,000? Eighty six percent (86%) of these are WOMEN, which means there are over 700,000 widows!

Our assignment is simple, we advocate for women who find themselves in different ethnic groups in Ghana, most of which discriminate against widows! As widowed women move through their own experiences of grief, loss, or trauma after the death of a spouse, they may also face economic insecurity, discrimination, stigmatization, and harmful traditional practices on the basis of their marital status.

The organizations goal is to honor 500 widows this year (2024) who are truly widows, and lift them up through relentless contributions and donations. We love to Inspire Widows to do more and be more!
